We visited on a midweek afternoon at around 2pm, and it was already busy with a steady flow of visitors. Despite that, we were greeted almost immediately by friendly, welcoming members of staff. There were plenty of team members on hand, meaning we were never left waiting for long, and someone was always available to answer questions or offer advice.

The staff took the time to explain the different kart options available, helping us choose the most suitable vehicles based on our experience. With years of experience, they clearly know how to match drivers with the right kart, whether it’s your first time behind the wheel or you’re looking for something with a little more speed.

Once we had our kart tickets, we were shown into a separate briefing room where we watched a safety video before being fitted with our helmets. Everything was well organised and professionally managed, giving us confidence before heading out onto the circuit.

After collecting our helmets, we were invited to relax while waiting for our race. There’s plenty to keep everyone occupied, including a bar serving snacks, pizzas, ice creams and reasonably priced drinks. You’ll also find televisions, a games room, and, of course, one of the best forms of entertainment—watching other drivers tackle the circuit while you wait for your turn.

When our race was called, the staff guided us to our karts, carried out final safety checks and explained exactly what to do during the session.. The emphasis on safety throughout the experience was reassuring without taking away from the excitement.

On this visit it was just myself and my two daughters. One of them was a little nervous, so we opted for one of the two-seater karts. We’ve also visited previously with groups of adults and for birthday celebrations, and every visit has been equally enjoyable. Whether you’re visiting as a family, a couple or a larger group, the venue caters for everyone with ease.

The circuit itself is the highlight. Measuring around 1,000 metres, the track offers a great mix of tight corners, sweeping bends and faster sections where you can really build up some speed. It feels challenging enough to keep experienced drivers entertained while still being approachable for beginners. Every lap is exciting, and before you know it you’ll be wanting another session. Printed Lap times are also given after the race, for the more competitive amongst us!
