Lanzarote Weather Forecast for Week Commencing 17th August

Another enjoyable week of summer weather is expected across Lanzarote, with warm temperatures, plenty of sunshine and the refreshing north-easterly trade winds continuing across much of the island. According to the latest forecast for the Tías and Puerto del Carmen area, the week will begin with predominantly sunny conditions and daytime temperatures close to 30°C, providing ideal weather for beach days, sightseeing and exploring the island’s spectacular volcanic landscapes.

As the week progresses, cloud cover is expected to increase slightly, particularly towards the weekend, bringing a small chance of light showers in some areas. Even so, lengthy spells of sunshine are still expected, and most visitors should continue to enjoy excellent conditions for outdoor activities. Sea temperatures remain pleasantly warm, while generally slight to moderate wave heights should provide favourable conditions for swimming and many water sports.

The familiar trade winds will continue to help keep conditions comfortable, especially along the coast, although inland areas may feel noticeably warmer during the afternoon. UV levels remain very high, so if you’re planning to spend time outdoors, remember to wear high-factor sunscreen, drink plenty of water and seek shade during the hottest part of the day.
