February is a lovely time here on Lanzarote. The days are a little warmer than January, and the island is at its most lush and green. This is when the volcanic landscape feels especially alive, with wildflowers brightening the lava fields in every direction. The real highlight, though, is Carnival. It is a time when the whole island comes together to celebrate with music, colour and tradition.
During Carnival, our towns are completely transformed. There are lively parades, colourful costumes, music drifting through the streets and parties that bring neighbours and visitors together.
With daytime temperatures usually between 18 and 20 degrees and around seven hours of sunshine, February is ideal if you are looking for some warmth without the intensity of summer. It is still low season, so you can often find some excellent deals on flights and places to stay.

During the day, temperatures usually settle between 18 and 21°C, but if you tuck yourself into a sunny, sheltered corner, it can feel much warmer. The trade winds are gentler than in the summer months, which means the island enjoys calm, pleasant days. Rain becomes a little less frequent after January. The sea is at its coolest now, around 17 to 18°C, but with a wetsuit, you can still enjoy surfing or diving in comfort.
