Lanzarote has several weekly markets scattered across the island, each with its own character. From the huge Sunday market in Teguise to the intimate artisan market in Haria, they offer everything from local produce and Canarian cheese to handmade crafts and vintage clothing.

Teguise Sunday Market

The largest market on the island, held every Sunday morning 9am-2pm in the old capital of Teguise. Hundreds of stalls fill the main square and surrounding streets. You will find leather goods, jewellery, ceramics, food, clothing and souvenirs. It gets very busy by late morning - arrive before 10am for the best experience.

Haria Saturday Market

A smaller, more artisan-focused market in the pretty northern village of Haria. Held every Saturday morning 10am-2.30pm in the main square under the palm trees. Local producers sell cheese, wine, mojo sauces, honey and fresh bread. The atmosphere is relaxed and authentic. Combine it with a visit to the Cesar Manrique house nearby.

Marina Rubicon Market

A twice-weekly market (Wednesday and Saturday) at the marina in Playa Blanca 10am-2pm. Stalls sell crafts, jewellery, clothing and local products along the waterfront. It is smaller than Teguise but pleasant, and you can combine it with lunch at one of the marina restaurants.

  • Haria Market
The prettiest artisan market — handmade crafts, ceramics, jewellery, paintings and organic products in a relaxed village setting.

Best food & local produce market

  • Mercado Agrícola Tinajo
Best for Canarian cheeses, wine, pastries, fruit, vegetables and local produce. Much more local than touristy.
