Car crashes into wall in Arrecife
A traffic accident in Arrecife, Lanzarote, on Friday afternoon ended without reported injuries after a car left the road and collided with a wall on Calle Mina.
The incident happened at around 5:25pm on 28 August 2026, prompting the attendance of the Lanzarote Security and Emergency Consortium and officers from the Arrecife Local Police.

When emergency crews arrived, the driver had already managed to get out of the vehicle without assistance and was reported to be in good condition. There were no reports of anyone being trapped or seriously injured, so firefighters did not need to carry out an extrication operation.
The damaged vehicle was left in a position that required it to be removed from the road. Once the Local Police authorised the operation, firefighters used a winch to move the car and clear the area.
Emergency crews also dealt with oil that had spilled onto the road, spreading sepiolite over the affected section of the carriageway to help absorb the liquid and reduce the risk to other road users.
The operation was completed after the vehicle had been removed and the road surface cleaned.
No serious injuries reported
While the heavily damaged front of the car showed the force of the collision no serious injuries were reported.
