Lanzarote weekend weather: cloud, possible showers and warm temperatures
Visitors to Lanzarote this weekend should be prepared for a little more variety in the skies than the island’s usual run of sunshine. The latest forecast points to a mixture of cloud, a chance of light rain and warm temperatures across Saturday 31 October and Sunday 1 November.
Saturday is expected to bring a mixture of cloud and brighter intervals. AEMET’s forecast for the Tías area suggests cloud will increase, with a chance of light precipitation later in the day. Temperatures are expected to remain warm, with daytime values around 27°C and overnight temperatures close to 19–20°C. Winds are forecast to be generally light, although direction may change during the day.
Sunday looks to be the less settled day. Cloud is expected to increase at times and showers are possible, with some forecasts indicating that rainfall could occasionally be heavier in localised areas. Dust haze may also affect visibility. AEMET’s municipal forecast for Tías indicates a possibility of rain, while temperatures remain mild, roughly 20°C overnight to 27°C during the day. Forecasts can change, and the timing and location of showers may vary.
A passing shower need not put a stop to a holiday. Visitors staying in Puerto del Carmen, Playa Blanca, Costa Teguise or elsewhere on the island can mix outdoor plans with indoor alternatives. Keep a light layer handy for the evening, and check directly with operators before boat trips, guided walks or other weather-dependent excursions.
Lanzarote’s volcanic landscape can produce noticeably different conditions over relatively short distances. Coastal resorts, inland villages and higher ground may not experience the same cloud, wind or rainfall at the same time.
Follow the latest AEMET updates rather than relying on a single forecast published in advance. At the time of checking, AEMET’s Tías forecast also showed the possibility of further showers into Monday.
