One Person Injured in Three-Vehicle Collision on Lanzarote’s LZ-30
A road traffic collision involving three vehicles on Lanzarote’s LZ-30 left one driver with apparently minor injuries on Wednesday afternoon, 14 October 2026.
The crash happened in the La Geria area, close to Bodega Rubicón, at around 2.24pm. Emergency responders attended after the incident was reported to the Canary Islands’ emergency coordination service.
According to information released by Lanzarote’s emergency services and reported by local media, everyone involved had got out of the vehicles by the time firefighters arrived. One driver appeared to have minor injuries and was assessed at the scene. Emergency crews placed a cervical collar on the injured driver as a precaution before handing them over to staff from the Servicio de Urgencias Canario (SUC) for further medical assessment.
Firefighters and other emergency personnel also worked to remove the damaged vehicles and debris from the road, helping to make the area safe for traffic again. The response included the island’s fire and emergency consortium, the Guardia Civil, local police and ambulance personnel.
The precise cause of the collision has not been confirmed in the information available at the time of writing. Drivers should avoid speculation and follow any official updates if further details are released.
Driving carefully around Lanzarote
La Geria is a well-known wine-growing area in Lanzarote’s volcanic landscape, and the LZ-30 is used by residents, visitors and people travelling between towns and attractions. Anyone exploring Lanzarote by hire car should stay alert, leave plenty of space between vehicles and adjust speed to road conditions. Changes in light, unfamiliar junctions, sightseeing stops and sudden braking can all increase the need for care.
If you come across a collision while driving in Lanzarote, slow down safely, do not block access for emergency vehicles, and follow instructions from police or other responders. In an emergency in Spain, call 112.
