Three Rescued After Becoming Trapped in Lift in Arrecife
Three people were safely rescued after becoming trapped inside a lift in Arrecife on Tuesday evening, prompting an emergency response from firefighters.
The incident occurred at around 7:50pm on Otilia Díaz Street in the island’s capital. Firefighters from the Lanzarote Security and Emergency Consortium’s Central Park station were dispatched after reports that several people were stuck inside an elevator.
When crews arrived, they confirmed that three people were trapped. Firefighters used a master key to safely open the lift and free the occupants.
Fortunately, no injuries were reported. Once the passengers had exited the lift, a technician remained on site to carry out the necessary repairs to the elevator.
