Air Europa launches new flight deals from Lanzarote, with fares from just €20
Lanzarote residents and visitors looking to travel between the island and mainland Spain have a new opportunity to grab discounted airfares, thanks to Air Europa’s latest promotional campaign.
Air Europa has launched a special edition of its Time to Fly promotion to mark the airline’s 40th anniversary, with reduced fares available across a wide range of domestic, European and long-haul routes. The promotion is available for bookings until 13 September 2026, giving travellers a limited window to secure the discounted tickets.
Special fares for Lanzarote residents
For those travelling from Lanzarote Airport (ACE), the promotion includes particularly attractive fares to mainland Spain.
Current promotional fares highlighted for Lanzarote include flights to Madrid from €23 per person, per journey, while residents can find fares to Bilbao from €20 per journey on selected dates.
The €20 figure therefore relates specifically to the available resident fare on the Lanzarote–Bilbao connection, rather than meaning every Air Europa flight from Lanzarote is available for €20.
Air Europa also confirms that residents of the Canary Islands can benefit from special resident fares when travelling between the islands and mainland Spain. The standard Canary Islands resident discount can provide up to 75% off eligible domestic fares, although airport taxes are not discounted.
When can you travel?
The promotion isn’t just for last-minute September trips.
For flights within Spain and Europe, the promotional travel period runs until 17 March 2027. Long-haul promotional fares are available for travel until 10 June 2027.
There are also discounted international options available, including:
- United States – from €209 each way
- Caribbean, Central America and South America – from €289 each way
- Johannesburg – from €299 each way
These fares are particularly relevant to Lanzarote residents who may be able to use Madrid as a connection point for longer international journeys.
What Lanzarote travellers should know
The advertised prices are per journey when booking a return flight, rather than necessarily being the total cost of a return ticket. Air Europa also notes that the cheapest promotional fares are subject to availability, so prices can change as seats sell.
Travellers should therefore check the final price carefully before booking, including any additional charges for baggage or other optional services.
Air Europa’s own current fare listings are already showing some very low fares involving Lanzarote, Madrid, Bilbao and other destinations, although prices vary according to dates and availability.
Good news for Lanzarote residents
For people living in Lanzarote, promotions such as this can make mainland trips considerably more affordable, whether travelling for a weekend away, visiting family, attending appointments or continuing a journey to another European or long-haul destination.
For tourists, the offers may also make it easier to combine Lanzarote with other destinations in Spain, particularly if travelling outside the busiest holiday periods.
With the Air Europa Time to Fly sale ending on 13 September, anyone hoping to take advantage of the promotional fares will need to check availability soon.
