Guapatini’s Show Bar Adds an Extra Night After a Fabulous Summer in Lanzarote
If you’re looking for something a little different to do after the sun goes down in Puerto del Carmen, there’s some fabulous news from Guapatini’s Show Bar.
Following what has been a hugely successful summer, Guapatini’s is adding an extra night to its weekly schedule — Tuesday nights.
That means even more opportunities to catch The Contessa Guapatini in action, with the show combining comedy, live singing, glamorous costumes, audience interaction and plenty of sparkle.
And having now visited Guapatini’s twice ourselves, we can understand why the show has developed such a following.
A NIGHT OUT THAT REALLY IS DIFFERENT
Our original visit to Guapatini’s left us with plenty to talk about afterwards. It isn't simply a case of sitting down and watching a performer on a stage.
The venue is relatively intimate, meaning the audience is close to the action and the interaction between Guapatini and the crowd is a big part of the evening. There is live singing, comedy, plenty of laughs and, of course, those fabulous costumes.
Guapatini’s is located in Centro Atlántico on Avenida de las Playas in Puerto del Carmen, right on the resort's main strip. The doors open at 8pm, with the show starting at 9pm.
NOW WITH TUESDAY NIGHTS
The announcement of an additional Tuesday performance comes after a busy summer for the show.
Guapatini’s has traditionally performed on Wednesday, Friday and Sunday evenings, but the new Tuesday night gives visitors and residents another chance to fit the show into their Lanzarote plans.
And that can be particularly useful if you're only in Puerto del Carmen for a few nights.
The popularity of the show has also been reflected in the number of recent visitor reviews, with waiting list generated for many nights and guests highlighting the combination of comedy, singing, audience interaction and the intimate atmosphere.
WHAT CAN YOU EXPECT?
If you've never been to Guapatini’s before, expect an evening of cabaret, comedy, music and audience participation.
The Contessa Guapatini is the glamorous stage persona of entertainer Paul Burnham, whose performance combines live vocals with comedy and plenty of theatrical flair.
You might arrive expecting to simply watch the show — but don't be surprised if Guapatini has other ideas!
WHY WE RECOMMEND IT
We've visited Guapatini’s twice now, and it has become one of the experiences we are happy to recommend to people looking for things to do in Puerto del Carmen at night.
It's particularly good if you've already spent a few evenings enjoying the restaurants and bars and fancy doing something different.
It can also work well for:
- Couples looking for a fun evening out
- Groups of friends
- Birthday celebrations
- Hen and special occasion nights
- Families looking for evening entertainment
- Residents wanting something different to their usual night out
Recent visitors have similarly described the show as entertaining, funny and interactive, with several saying they would return.
BOOK IN ADVANCE
One thing we would definitely recommend is booking your tickets in advance.
The show has developed a strong following and advance booking is recommended, particularly during busy periods.
With Tuesday now being added to the schedule, there are more opportunities to see the show — but that doesn't necessarily mean you should leave booking until the last minute.
Guapatini’s Show Bar is at Centro Atlántico, Avenida de las Playas, Puerto del Carmen.
