Share of Spain’s National Lottery Second Prize Sold in Lanzarote
A touch of good fortune arrived in Lanzarote this weekend after part of Spain’s National Lottery second prize was sold on the island during Saturday’s draw.
The winning number, 44,322, scooped the second prize, worth €120,000 per full ticket, equivalent to €12,000 for each tenth (décimo). While the prize was shared with other locations in Spain, one of the winning tickets was sold in Arrecife, giving at least one lucky player on Lanzarote a reason to celebrate.
Where Was the Winning Ticket Sold?
The successful ticket was sold at Lottery Administration No. 43,185, located on Calle Nicolás Martín Cabrera in Arrecife, the capital of Lanzarote.
Spain’s National Lottery regularly distributes prizes across the country, and it is not uncommon for winning numbers to be shared between multiple lottery outlets. In this latest draw, part of the second prize was also sold in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria.
What Was the First Prize?
The first prize in Saturday’s National Lottery draw went to ticket number 75,745, which carried a top prize of €600,000 per full ticket (€60,000 per tenth). That winning number was distributed in several parts of Spain, including Granadilla de Abona on Tenerife.
National Lottery Continues to Bring Luck to the Canary Islands
Lottery wins often generate excitement across the Canary Islands, particularly when winning tickets are sold locally. Although only a share of the second prize reached Lanzarote this time, it’s another reminder that major National Lottery prizes can land anywhere in Spain.
Residents and visitors alike regularly purchase décimos from local lottery administrations, especially during the busy summer season and ahead of the famous Christmas Lottery (El Gordo) later in the year.
